I was really looking forward to seeing The Prestige. It’s directed by Christopher Nolan, the same guy who directed Memento, which I was a huge fan of, so I was expecting great things.
Unfortunately, I was a little bit disappointed with this one. It starts Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman as two rival stage magicians who compete against each other to come up with the best illusion.
It’s watchable enough, but my main problem with it was that some of the plot twists just weren’t believable enough. It strays too far into the realms of fantasy for my liking, which is a shame, because I’m usually a big fan of Nolan’s work.
